Canonbury
This project involved the complete restoration of a period property, along with a single-storey rear extension and loft conversion. Sustainability and craft were key drivers of the design, with the installation of a full solar roof using heritage-style PV slates, alongside a green roof and an air source heat pump system providing all heating and hot water. Internally, exposed Douglas fir ceilings and extensive use of terrazzo bring warmth and texture to the architectural palette. MH Costa’s in-house joinery team delivered a bespoke oak kitchen with terrazzo worktops, as well as custom oak joinery throughout the home, enriched with solid brass detailing. The result is a thoughtful and beautifully made home that combines low-energy performance with refined materiality.
